Women in Horror Month : Bex Martz-Burley, Demon Monkey Craft

Demon Monkey Craft

Bex Martz-Burley is a part of community of Horror Artists that make Horror Cross Stitch Art!

She creates a variety of cross stitch art using a program called PC Cross Stitch to help create her horror art patterns.  She has been working on her craft for about 10 years.  Using her horror creative imagination with a lot of time and patience, she creates amazing horror art that any horror fan would love to own.  She is even willing to do all types of custom orders to accommodate a customer’s interests.

She also wanted to share her love of horror cross stitching with the world by writing a book that is basically a how-to guide to learn how to cross stitch and how to make your own cross stitch art.   The book is titled, “Evil Dead 2: The Book of the Thread“, from Source Point Press.  Publication is estimated for early Spring of 2018!  Be sure to keep an eye out for this book!

Preacher Six Update

3 User(s) Online Join Server

It looks like the groundhouse film, Preacher Six is back fundraising. In 5 days, they will launch a new Indiegogo campaign, and we cannot wait to see if we can get Kyle D. Hester back on the show to talk about it. Once we have more details, we will share it with you. Until then, enjoy the trailer:

Captured Unveils 2 New Posters

While we don’t know  much about this film, yet, Captured, has well…captured my imagination (pun intended). If we can make any guesses on what this film will be about, it looks something similar to Shudder. I’m excited to see where this movie takes us in October.

Check out their Facebook page.

Flesh and Blood A Go Go

Inspired by David Lynch and SOV movies like Spine, Flesh and Blood A Go! Go! follows the story of some, let’s say interesting, photographers, and a model named Kandi, who seems to be a little down on her luck, when it comes to finding jobs. After she takes this modeling job, she finds out that the shoot was much more bloodier than she imagined. All and all, this was a great film, I loved the cinematography, and the soundtrack is outstanding. Hopefully, we can contact the bands, and have their music on EMZT soon.

The brilliant minds of Sargad did it again. Sarah Giercksky, the writer, and Xander Turian play mimes in this short film. It’s about five minutes long, and has very little dialogue. The chemistry between Sarah and Xander is wonderful, and the ending had me laughing.

You can check it out at Popcorn Short Films on Facebook. Wonderful job by all involved with this.

Dead Air

Get ready to rock out when an all female punk band ends up on a flight with some nasty creatures. The movie is written by Peter Hearn, and directed by Geoff Harmer. This is just the short film, and are using this as a way to shop a full length feature film.

Islamic Exorcist Trailer

Recently, I was contacted by a man who was promoting a film called Islamic Exorcist. According to him, this film is very controversial, with the director receiving death threats. This is a great new spin on a classic genre of demonic possession. I’m intrigued, because most possession and exorcism films we see mainly deal with the Catholic Church. This one shows Islamic Exorcisms, which I would like to learn more about.

I Bleed Indie

If you are a fan of horror, then one of your bookmarks should be I Bleed Indie. This is a Pay-Per-View site dedicated to independent horror.

From the website:

IBleedIndie is a PPV website dedicated to indie horror. Many indie horror film makers choose to distribute their films independently rather than dealing with distribution companies or sales agents. This option severely limits their VOD options, narrowing it down to personal Youtube or Vimeo channels. This site is designed with self distribution in mind, although we do also have a good few films from amazing indie friendly companies like Wild Eye, Artsploitation, Brinkvision, SGL, and more! We allow indie film makers to keep 90% of the sales from rentals on this site and they get to keep all rights to their films rather than being locked into years-long contracts. If you love indie horror, be sure to check out our parent company, theblood-shed.com, one of the best indie horror-focused news sites out there! Stay scary and support independent film makers! ~Johnny Macabre

I am a fan of The Blood Shed, with great news on independent horror films. It’s one of the best sites on the internet. So, please, head over to both The Blood Shed and I Bleed Indie today, and help give back to the horror community. Let’s keep horror sane, support these wonderful sites.

EMZT Radio: YODO The Series

This is one of the funnest episodes that we produced. Bane is in the middle of a construction zone, which explains the outtake (organic comedy, right?) Those that joined us were a riot, and did a great job of not spoiling what’s coming up. Check out YODO the series, when it becomes available.
